Tubular rims

Postby merzbild » Fri Feb 05, 2010 8:43 am

I am in an annoying bind. I have a whole heap of nice NOS tubular rims and I have a bike I'm building which definitely calls for old tubular rims, but no combination of hub and rim where the spoke counts match up. Most of my rims are 36 or 28 hole and I have a pair of Mavic 501 hubs that are 32 hole that I want to use. I have a pair of Record duMond D'lheure rims that would go perfectly, except that they're 36 hole. The only NOS 32 hole rims I have are Fiamme red labels, which would be great, except that they're the track version with non-parallel braking surfaces.

Is anyone is a similar bind to me but in the other direction? Anyone want to trade 32 hole rims for 36, or 36 hole hubs for 32?

Cheers,
Tris.

I know it's not helpful but I'm always looking for 36H NOS rims....

But I kept it simple and only bought 36H hubs ever.

What rims have you got?
