Hmm, sounds like my shed too. I've got to the state where something has to move outside if I want to work on anything.... :)

I have a speedwelll skidstar I found on a clean up. Repainted but complete. It was one of the first bikes I ever found.

It is still waiting to get repainted.

Personally, I wouldn't touch it other than giving it a quick wipe down. If you want to keep it, by all means do so... BUT if you were to put that bike on eBay, you could retire on the price you'll get for it... ;)

You have some nice bikes Gitane. I bet one could spend hours in your shed admiring them all.

My new beater bike.
Malvern Star frame, no idea how old it is. It has an oil port on the bottom bracket shell? I found it with a 70's Shimano Eagle rear derailleur. So guessing around then?
Found 5 houses up from mine. Put on a different wheelset, saddle, and a front brake calliper and it was good to go.

It looks like a 1960's frame (bolt-on stays died out in the early 1970's), which someone had a go at modernising as a 5-speed with a bolt-on rear derailleur.

Funny thing is started like this and only needed a good clean and some TLC

All I did was relace wheels, change cranks as old one was cracked which is why I think it was thrown and some new pedals

And whilst technically not a find created this

went hunting today in Glen Waverly. Spent about 25-30ks in the kill zone.
Picked up Cr/ Mo Shogun Forks and deore derailleur. Left the rest of the bike for someone else along with a complete Malvern Star "Moscow" gaspipe.
Also left another half dozen BMXs/ mountain bikes for Ron.

Not retro but,its a tip bike
Picked this up from the tip shop, only wanted the front and rear calipers, after handing over the money (20 bucks) with a smile and start to walk off,the guys calls out as says"dont forget the wheels" it came with Ultegra hubbed wheelset. Bonus with a happy dance.Sora front and rear mechs,Sora brifters,FSA triple crankset, forks. Now i need to find a new home for the frame or its going back to the tip

Yeah, its the replacable type though. It has some minor scratches,no dents in the tubes, cranks and bb all good, forks are good.At a guess it was thrown out because of the hanger  If i was 5 foot i would keep it and build it back up.My best tip bike so far is a complete original Cannondale Black Lightning,'Sold the whole groupset to a guy in the states for $500 who then wanted the frame, another 500 bucks thankyou very much. This was an expensive bike at $30
