If it has ABENI pantographed (not stamped) into it with the stylised A on the fork crown, it's likely to be one of his own frames rather than something bought in. I would expect it to be a good quality frame. You can confirm that my pulling the seatpost and looking at the size of it. However, do prepare to be possibly disappointed as occasionally Mr Abeni's shop would put stickers on all sorts of things. If it's pantographed, that likelihood is diminished. The ULTIMA stickers appeared on a lot of "shop level" bikes though - Abeni/Europa/Elan and some other brands too. It appears in more than one set of cyclomondo decals he was selling on Ebay. The pantographs are the engraving of Abeni and the A on the fork crown.

 The elan from up thread finally back from the painter. Getting weighed in this photo, 2.6kg on the nose frame and fork. Now the fun begins! Not quite saronni red but something very similar from the Mazda catalogue, in a 3 part paint system that is full of the prettiest little bits of mica you have ever seen. Forks is white pearl - not a full pearl but a subtle one from the same year mazda catalogue. Single pivot Athena brakes and seatpost for old school styling! Not sure about rims yet. I am semi-seriously considering the Fulcrum Racing Zero I normally use on my race bike, but the reds are not quite compatible. I have a set of Omega rims, but the rear hub is not 10 speed compatible and I can't find an affordable 10 speed polished silver one, so the zeroes may just have to do for a while. Posted elsewhere, but the recently completed Europa from Chez Dan.  Artsy filters aside, its come up reasonably well. I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

Sweet! Pity we couldn't manage to put together a matching wheelset for that open 4 CD you have on the front. I have a lonely Open 4CD rear that originally came with my Elan, albeit laced to an 8 speed campagnolo hub. I know. This one actually needs 27" - I'm still deciding whether to source rims and build some onto a spare set of shimano hubs I have, or switch out the group and fit some long reach calipers.
I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

Although drubie, I do have most all of a campag 8 speed group sitting here which might look nice on it... Only missing a RD  I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

I'd say around $150, its in nice condition. But being just before Chrissie it may go for a lot less. This time of year is good for buying. Terrible for selling.

I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

Yep - sounds about right. Although, kinda spendy when you think you can occasionally pick up a brand new Veloce group for $450 or so. Has the busted "power" shifters but meh. Having said that, I think perhaps 27" Europa really needs japanese gear on it, The blue one that started this thread has SunTour Arx which is quite pretty and well made for an entry level group, plus if you score the bar end shifters it can be made very neat looking.
