From this ....
to this ....
We gave up waiting for my aero seat post, so here he is.
I can't give you a ride review just yet, but my first impressions are mixed. The ride is a bit harsher than Tojo (my other steel frame), but Enzo's geometry is a bit more assertive. The 9-speed Record shifters are quite a bit different to my Ultegra, but that's to be expected. It's hard to tell whether they are 'better' or not. I'm expecting them to be, but 15 minutes of gentle riding in the cul de sac isn't enough of a test. The Vento's spin more freely when they're lifted off the ground, but now I've got a 'clicky' freewheel (I must be biased, it's a nicer sound than the Mavic's make).
More after a real ride.
I should wait until I've seen Paul Hillbrick on Monday to get everything just right, but I might not be able to last that long.

Not so strange really, it's a combination that eBay threw up and gave me the chance to build something up that didn't break the bank.ggundersen wrote:Strange combination:
Tange Infinity (cheap)
Campagnolo Record (expensive)
I'll ask Paul why he used it when I see him on Monday, but I expect that if Infinity was good enough for Bianchi in the early 90's (when he built this frame) he probably thought that it was good enough for him.

G'day
It looks real nice. I wish I knew what I was doing to come up with something like this. Is this sort of set-up very expensive?
Regards
Andrew

Ashbiker not to hijack th thread but the cecil and enzo are brother in arms and I have provided a breakdown what it cost me. If you can get something like the "enzo" for what i spent it's a good get.It looks real nice. I wish I knew what I was doing to come up with something like this. The beer went where it is meant to go.
I'm lubing both bikes in between posts - the girlie bike got wet today and the chain on Enzo is new. Prolink, of course!
As to cost - I'm not saying. Not because it was lots, but I was lucky on eBay (and patient) and it hasn't cost as much as it might have. Deciding to stay 9-speed certainly helped - and taking a risk on a groupset with scratched brake levers (which are easy to replace) meant the bling merchants stayed out of the bidding.

Lucky enjoy your ride, it is individual and will stand out from the aluminum / carbon crowd.
It is good to see it on the road and if the enozo and cecil (when it is ready) ever cross paths I will prrovide enough lubrication to replacew those yuppy beers you had on disply.
Have you not heard of VB???
