Pantographing

Postby fitz » Thu Nov 25, 2010 8:23 pm

Does anyone know if it is possible to get alloy parts pantographed here in Aus?
Ive been watching for a couple of years now for a few peices and on the rare occasions they came up the prices were astronomical (think $400+ for a seat post). Im sure the pantographed stuff casanova9898, for example, on ebay has are NOS items recently pantographed.
Any help appreciated.
Apologies if this has been asked before but I could not find any reference in a search.
Can I have some of these?

The machine posted is Greg Softley's and the link is a lever from Greg's ebay store
Overnight Greg has posted on Classicrendezvous (Classicrendezvous Digest, Vol 95, Issue 105) that he has the machine up and going

Eric, I have a few little bits that I'd like pantographed. Does your dad do much in the way of bike parts?

Yep we got it working and have a few designs up on ebay already as CS has mentioned. My name is Peter and I'm the tool man that machines, polishes and paints the levers using the above pentograph for Gregs ebay store. Its been a long process of hits and misses but finally we have some results. More designs to come in the future. Monday I start 4 more new such designs.

Fitz, for the time being I havn't had a go at engraving anything but levers.

Cheers
Peter

His machine was used for making text labels for electronic gear...engraving 3D shapes might be out of his scope perhaps ???.
What do you need done ?.
