Black fizik microtex with black cable outers. Let the colors in the frame "pop". Coloured stuff (cables etc) just looks tacky (in my opinion).

Here's my Viner. I chose black tape and cables and let the late 80's Tron paint do the talking.

Arrgh! Tax... as if mindless corporate compliance and parasitic auditors weren't giving me mental enough rigor mortis at work... now I have to justify my self to the eggheads at the ATO to get a bloody pittance back.

I was supposed to have received the contract for my shed construction on Thursday, after giving the verbal OK to the final revised quote, but no sign of it yet. It's a three month turn around from that point apparently, allowing for Council accquiessence, ordering, fabrication & construction. I want to get my sh i t organised and some bike projects moving again!!!

Oh to have a shed again would be so nice.. I have to keep my bikes outside now under a tarp. The shame of it..

^ I hope you're joking.

If I owned that Colnago, it'd sleep inside the house.

Angry wife or not.

It's undercover but outside, so it's not getting wet.. don't have the space in our unit. Units suck, so does renting.

Been there done that, behind me thank fooey. Rental bogan tenants next door, in a sh_i_tty house that isn't going to command much per/week AND allows dogs also sucks.

and the frames straight? are you using campag cables or something else?
just curious why you're having trouble with generic campag stuff - generic campag stuff i've been thinking of buying post-tax return

I bought a new Centaur groupset from Ribble, all genuine Campy cables supplied. The frame is straight! Im thinking that the switch from 126 to 130 is the cause. There is no problem when i put a 7 speed shimano lever or cassette on

i'd reset it to fit 130mm wheel and then check the hanger.

you got that right, ive gone from renting on my own a 2 bedroom house with a massive garage all to myself that had all the tools needed for anything- bead blasting cabinet, welder, work benches, every tool under the sun, materials and even automobilia hanging up everywhere. now im in a one bedroom unit with a carspace that my 81 Ducati and 96 Falcon have to squeeze into and the 64 Valiant sits abandoned in the unused space of the carpark in my block of units (lucky for me ive actually got somewhere to keep it!!) and my tool kit has been reduced to a 3 draw tool box. Renting bites BIG TIME. and i hate my job too. and im hungry and need a shower. now i have a headache. HEY, heres an idea- what if all of us poor Sydneysiders that need space all chipped in and collectively rented a millers self storage for our bikes? enough interested people would maybe work out to be 5-10 bucks a fortnight ? ideas or takers??

Isn't it funny how things come in droves when you don't have time for them? I just got a really nice Apollo frame that needs a bit of work from a forum member (thanks Conrad!) in my size, that I'm going to build up for my brother. It needs the downtube shifter bosses replaced (got some on the way!) and a fork to match it (700c steel to suit a 200mm head tube and 1" threaded headset, can anyone help?) then I can build it up for him.

The Colnago is back from hibernation ..

I ordered a headset yesterday. I decided on a Stronglight A9 as it's (supposedly) the lightest 1" threaded headset available. It's also a third the cost of a Campy record headset and very similiar in design, and no one had those in stock online.

I've also changed the saddle for a nicely worn Selle San Marco Rolls, and ordered some red Microtex bar tape. I've almost saved enough for the groupset too!
