I'd love some help identifying the year and model of this frame if anyone could help me.

I'd say it's a Super but perhaps early 90's. All the catalogues online are mid-late 1980's and none of the Super's or Sprint's have internal cable routing for the brake cable in the top tube. A super from the early 1990's perhaps?

Definitely an early 90's Cromor Colnago Super then.

Thanks munga!

Got my downtube cable adjusters today. Just wanted to ask you guys a quick question .. there's one with an adjuster and one with a plain cable stop, which side goes where? Cheers!

PS : loving the Tour?

Ordered some Cinelli Carbonio bar tape in white .. thinking I will change my black Selle Italia Flite to a white one also. Also bidding on a Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport headset on ebay.

It was my understanding the adjuster is historically for trimming the front derailleur, when some of the integrated brifters don't/didn't have that second half click to do it for you... so I have generally thought the left hand side.

Having sad that though, I have seen them on the right for the rear, perhaps rightly or wrongly. Not sure....
PS : loving the Tour?
Way past Fat Cat's bedtime for me... though I might watch one two stages at some point. Have to read up which up the most scenic and/or mountainous. I generally don't watch any sports at the best of times...

Interesting. Looked at the pair I presently run on my Cross-check with bar-cons; the left/FD stop has a regular integral barrel adjuster. The right/RD hand one has a sort of stepped little thumb lever which clicks through about three different degrees of tension. I can't even remember where I picked this pair up from, so have no idea of branding. They may even be Campy Chorus from the gruppo on the first decent roadie I ever had and later re-used componets from.....

I had never honestly given them that much thought.

Early Shimano.

I got my A23's from the LBS for $100 ea. Ended up being similar to similar online offerings once shipping got factored in.

Made in Aus too :D

Yeah, thanks guys... time to revise my preferred LBS in such regard. I think I was paying closer to $150ea.. Yowch... was a while ago though..

And now back to your irregularly scheduled Ben thread....

If Ben's are like mine, which they look like from the driveside - yep. The left hand side is a more traditional barrel adjuster. Where what we're looking at in the photo is a sort of sprung ratchet flip thing. Click it up in one direction through ~3 settings, then back down through those settings.

Almost an indexing system in itself? :?

Yep, a barrel adjuster on the left and a ratchet one on the right. They're shiny .. I like them!

Unfortunately I had to leave my job this week. Glad to see the back of that place. Anyone want to give me a job? :D

So.. Campagnolo is off the cards for now. I'm going to get it going with some nice wheels I've found from a forum member (105 hubs, 32 or 36 spoke, Rigida aero rims) and a Shimano groupset.. either 105 or Tiagra. I'll try and spring for 105.

This way, once I finish my degree next year .. I can put the 105 on my fiance's bike (will only need to change the cranks for shorter ones) and upgrade to Campagnolo.

I received the most amazing surprise tonight!

Two of my best and closest friends gave me a call and said they wanted to pop round to my place as they had a present for me. I figured they had some vegetables from their garden (which would've been great) for our garden or something.

Anyway .. to cut a long story short, they rocked up with a giant cardboard box and through the darkness I spotted the ribble logo .. and it was a brand new pair of Campagnolo Khamsian rims! Awesome!
