Mavic Rims/Hubs from the late '80s/early 90's

Does anyone have any information on Mavic rims and/or hubs from this era? When I bought my roadie in 1990 I always wanted Mavic rims but couldn't afford them. At the time I had no idea if the wheels were good or not, just that the black anodised rims with the yellow Mavic name looked cool!

On ebay you can pick up old rims and hubs, sometimes NOS, but I have no idea what to look for in terms of part numbers etc.

Any information or suggestions where to look to find out will be greatly appreciated.

Ideally, a list of rims and hubs produced by mavic in the late '80s/early '90s.

Maybe something out of an old cycling magazine, catalogue etc. etc.
