A bit less than a quarter page write up in todays Noosa News. Great photo of the climb (/walk :) ) up Jampot Creek Road last year.

One thing i noticed though was the line "Eroica entrants must use steel-framed road bikes built before 1987", is this going to be a rule or just the writer getting confused with the italian L'Eroica?

I thought that was the essence of L'Eroica, non? I've only got one pre-87 bike, and its in bits. Plus I'm nowhere near Noosa, I'd like to go.

The write-up was a bit muddled in places.
We don't have 4000 wanting to do the ride, so, for now, just steel framed will suffice.... Vitus's excepted!

I've already lent one of my bikes (the freshly restored Lawrencia). I've got another 10 or so of varying sizes if anyone needs a steed for the day/weekend. Looking forward to finishing off my his and hers pair of Healings for the show :) .

Right, heading North tonight from Newcastle, taking a couple of days to get up there in the camper. Haven't really worked out the bike transport with this vehicle yet so only bringing one bike, the missus is going to mooch around Noosa :)
Cheers

Looks like I will be riding the Puch this year, I have not been able to pick up the Gitane from the painters so she is out. I have had the last three days off work with the flu. Back at work today but still feeling a little weak. I have two more days to recover and have been taking every known immune system booster known to man. I will ride on sunday as far as I can go.
Two more sleeps to go

We've got a bail out plan that shortens the route to 75km, if we're not up for the full 115km. See how we're feeling on Sunday, depending on whether we stay up late to watch the final ITT. Can't wait to see your new Puke

Yes funnybike see how we go!
I went to the Currumbin bike shop on the way home this arvo to stock up on tubes and saw a bloke walking away with a wonderful Marlven Star 5 star road bike, absolutely stunning! when the shop owner saw me walking in he ran out and called the bloke back. It seems he is going up and is doing the 40km ride on sat. I had a short chat to him and wished him well, and "see you there". Looks like I may have done some good taking round the flyers.

On the road shortly. Weekend away at the north coast and get to play bikes all weekend. How cool is that? :D

Really looking forward to the S&S. I was so busy at the swap meet that I didn't get to see as much as I would have liked at PG. I intend to remedy that situation today.

See you all there.

Conditions today were choice.
My favourite bike was Mustang's Vitus, sooo blue.
30 people with some great machines. Not one puncture that I was aware.
Highlight for me was riding the Hillclimb course and we as a group, getting cheered by a bunch of MTBers.
Show and Shine was pretty handy.
Congratulations to the organisers, I will be passing on the good word for next year.

What a spectacular day!! Perfect weather, the 40k was brilliant and the show and shine was amazing. By my guess we had about 70 bikes all up.

Oh and i got engaged :D .

Can't wait to be able to get pics up.
