'Fleet' saddle

I've picked up a couple of these plastic, 'Brooks look-alike' (from a distance ) saddles:-



Anyone know anything about them?

Sorry I cant help. I also have one here. It came off a unknown road frame which was quite a fair age.

weird, it's plastic you say, but has an adjuster for sag, maybe if it gets soft in hot weather

What did they do, import a load of B17s and replace the top?
Break in time of about $50 years.

I got a new Repco in 1965 - it had a Fleet saddle. It was quite hard but rideable but that didn't matter much when you were 11yo.

I seem to remember that they were a cheap alternative to a Brooks and appeared on cheaper bikes.
