I know Singapore well and suspect he might be a central figure in the classic bike community over there. http://oldsteelers.blogspot.com.au/2013" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... -2013.html

I know this was a few pages ago, but that is absolutely beautiful. Hands down one of the classiest builds I've seen. Good stuff kmankman wrote:Just to share with everyone my build which I have finally completed. Its an unidentified frame. It has Reynolds tubing of some sort from the early 90s.
Fitted with a full 105 groupset, generic bar, generic quill stem, velo orange headset, Brooks seat + tape, H plus son wheels + velo orange hubs.
Weighs 9.55 kg with pedals.

I did some work for him but I should sell it and give him the money.
Where should I sell it?

The only thing it needs is a new stem ( horrible corroded Profile stem ) and a bar plug.
Everything else is Record and in really great condition.

Plan is to keep the original paint but replace the tubes, tyres, bar tape & a new saddle. Also going cleats and some shoes.
Fingers crossed I can get away with the lot for under $200 so I'll be searching all the bargain ads here & flea bay in hope....

I have previously promised to post a picture of my bike for Daccordi Rider.
This has been my race bike for the last 23 years. It was originally built with a 7400 group set including the first version of Brifters. It got a re-vamp when I picked up a 7800 group set in Taipei in 2006 including the plastic wheels.
I built up my crit wheels with old school low profile rims and Novatec hubs for a total cost of less than $100 since I already had the spokes (had to use 1x lacing on the front to use the length I already had) sorry for the mismatched tyres, I'll try to wear out the rear one, but I've only ridden this bike a handful of times this year since most of my racing is on a tandem these days.
Cheers,
Cameron

I recently acquired a frame that looks identical to this one. Started taking off the badly crazed brown paint and there is metallic blue paint hidden under there and a Paconi decal. Seems to be a quality, light frame, don't know.TedDancin wrote:Finished for now, most likely a custom frame built for Durban Cycles, not sure what type of steel, but weighs in at 10kg as pictured. Put together with Superbe Pro friction group, and a very nice set of new/old wheels courtesy of Josh/Velo13 from xlr8, Superbe Pro low flange 28h hubs on H Plus Son TB14s.
