This is my latest addition, 1997 Lemond Zurich, these came with Reynolds 853 with carbon fork, full 600 Ultegra Tricolor 8sp STI+Mavic rims, Cinelli bars.

Previous owners added some ridiculous seat, tyres and pedals so these will need to be replaced.

Yeah, I know, but it's how I found it. It's some old steel frame made by a piano builder with old Italian bits on it - Camp something or other and cannelloni handlebars. Once I save up enough money I'll put some proper Shimano 105 on it. At least my spray painting looks okay - I had some leftover red spray enamel from doing the kid's toy box last month.

And I thank you for it. The drive back down was easier than heading up for some reason.

Well done, new chrome and dark colour really look good. And that chorus group is my all time favourite

was that chrome hiding under the paint or did you get the rear triangle plated?

^ There was no chrome under the old powdercoat, so the whole frame has been electroplated.

Cheers, I was hoping you might find your way here ;)

I got that saddle for a bargain off the bay quite some time ago. Funnily enough when I pulled it out to put it on one of the rivets fell out! I just glued it back in...so far, so good.

I have a modern version - the Regal E - on my carbon bike so it was a no-brainer to use a Regal on the Montello.

Did you have to have the rear end re-spaced or was it already 130mm?

^ It's 127mm. What's 1.5mm each side between friends? :D

My first bike build.
It was finished on the weekend, but it has been pretty wet in Perth so I haven't taken it for a spin yet - this weekend doesn't look good either! It is too pretty at the moment to get dirty!

More photos are in the "Colnago Appreciation Society" thread

I hope not!!

I think it is just the perspective of the photos - I had the forks turned slightly towards the camera to lean the bike against the wall.

I like the look of that - are you planning to build it up? Interesting forks.
