I'm loving it, too. If it was a touch bigger I wouldn't have let Mungs get his filthy mits on it :P

haha, I actually did quickly check how straight the rear end of the frame was, and it was spot on 8)

also yes, the blue faded quite evenly across the rest of the frame except underneath the FD clamp as you point out - the decals had also slightly shrunk over 30 years, leaving an outline of blackened adhesive which cleaned up quite easily. the fork had a layer of limescale on it but nothing a bit of vinegar and scrunched up foil couldn't fix

https://imgur.com/gallery/75I1u (having trouble uploading an image from imgur.)

My first steel bike. A Trek Fast Track 370 that I am using to learn about rebuilding and restoring the old gems.

Cheap Ebay saddle and gaudy gold bar tape contrast beautifully off the British Racing green lol.

Rides really well and I was very happy cruising around on a stunning winter's day.

Routens. JP though, not Jo. Seat post says MADE IN FRANCE BY JPR, 26.6mm. Unknown dropouts, unknown tubing, 105 gear aside from 600 tricolour cranks, MA40 rims. 60ST x 57TT. Might clean and ride as a Eroica or NSB style. Or might even turn it into a neo-retro yet. Dunno.

Nice find but looking at the location of the brake pads on the rear brake calipers I think you would struggle to fit some fat rubber NSB

It is steel but they call it Titanized. I think they have applied some titanium powder or something or just brushed and lacquered the frame. Not sure. It looks schmick though.

Christopher is going to load my photos it is my dads 2 star he got it new in the late 40's and rode it to school 15 miles
He hated riding the horse so he pleaded for a long time to get it
Looking for ideas for a saddle this 1 is uncomfortable and I do want to ride it

scott, you might like to have a look online for a (lightly) used brooks b17 or brooks team professional

Agree, a leather saddle would suit it well.
Harder to find but an Aussie made one would be nice too.

Very cool bike by the way. Love it.
