Aurora Bikes

Just picked up an old bike. Rubbed back the multi layers of house paint, and can just make out the brand AURORA on the down bar.
It is a 28" gents roadtser, with a Sturmey Archer hub, date coded July 1950. This could also be the approx date of the bike.
Anyone have any information about the AURORA brand?
It looks to be a typical Australian made bike, so looking for an Australian based Aurora brand, not the overseas ones that come up on google searches.
