I wouldn't do a fixie job on it unless you're absolutely certain that'll suit your needs.


If you have to go over hills when you use it you're better off keeping gears on it, if you don't like suicide shift (I don't, I've had them stuck into my groin more than a few times), get a set of band on down tube shifters, still looks tre` cool & is usable as well.

Travellers are perfect for fixy/SS conversions. Cheap, nasty and plentiful. No one will cry if you butcher it. Great for learning on, I say go for it!
