Have just located my fathers 1954? Malvern Star road bike (frame only No 5-11323?) and hope to rebuild it back to its former glory.
A close friend of my Dad has provided me with a good description of the original components that were on the bike so
now I'm searching. Can anybody point me in the best direction.

eBay is probably the simplest and fastest option (and probably the most expensive). Bike swap meets could help, as could the people you meet at them (believe it or not there are still a ton of people who don't bother with the 'net and some of them more than likely have some useful bits and pieces ferreted away). You could also watch the marketplaces on forums like this or post a wanted to buy list here, if you're more specific about the parts your need you'll get some suggestions. Good luck with the hunt.
