Bates Track Bike

Just looking for a bit more information dating wise (60's?) for a friends bike and any other general knowledge that can be passed on in regards to its make up. It's very light and as the photos show it seems to have some nice gear on it.

Any insight would be appreciated.

That frame is more 70s as the angles are to tight for a 60s frame. I had one custom made for me, around 73/74 and was 531 tubing.

It's a bit hard to tell from these shots, but this frame was built in 66' and just as tight if not tighter than the Bates.
Oddly enough it's first paint job was the same colour as the Bates frame.
