Can anyone enlighten me about the cranks on an early 80's steel bike my mate salvaged today? The cranks have aero stamped on them. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply BRLVR.v2. I only spoke to him on the phone and by his description I thought it might be a Standish shimano aero but the cranks didn't seem to fit. I'll try and get a picture from him tomorrow . cheers

I think they were made by SR, i've seen lots of them, usually on fairly uninspiring bikes.

I have one of these.

Aero front and cold forged wordings at the back.

Standardish alloy cranks. I inclined to say it is more euro branding than jap...

I have a set on my bike. Aero cold forged. 144bcd 170 long. When I was trying to find info on them, saw a picture of some on a bmx. They have the lugs for the inside chainring though. Chainrings are Anlus.
