Hi Munga,

I wonder if the Colnago you have shown with the Tange tubing was from around 1990 and the tubing was based on Tange Prestige?

Here's a Colnago Super Frame from around the late 80's to early 90's that I am thinking of re-building with old '85 Campy Super Record and Coblato brakes:

Yes, they kept it reasonably quiet and I was under the impression that there was never a decal indicating the tubing. See more on prestige here.

Here's my Colnago Sprint. Peeling decals, many battle scars and a strange mix of Shimano, Campagnolo and other brand components old and new.
This is how I bought it. Still deciding what components to go with. I won't be repainting, love the patina.

Looks like your baby blue Colnago Sprint has been, and probably continues to be a favourite ride Lots of Steel Bikes. My personal opinion is that Colnago produces frames that fit the average person well and offer a very neutral riding position - aggressive and shore footed when you want it to be yet comfortable enough for those long training rides. There is something about a baby blue coloured frame that I find really attractive - nice bike.

Thanks Gary, I too prefer the understated look. Some Colnago paint scemes are a bit over the top for me. I could ride this bike all day. Just need to swap out the prologo saddle. Cripples me after about 40k.

Despite the mixed parts, this is a nice looking bike. I think simply swapping the seat post for a polished one would make a big difference.
Simple. Elegant. Understated.

I'd like polished aero but hard to get at that length.

My 87/88 Master Piu. Originally built up with suntour superbe pro as pictured, but these days sports shimano 105 10 speed (and a few stone chips) because I decided it was meant to be ridden rather than just looked at.

It's so interesting to compare 2 top Colnago's of their respective era's such as funnybike's C59 and jillybean's early Master Piu.

Here is my Superissimo SLX:

What a beauty! A Titanio like yours is extremely high on my want and desire list. I'm so jealous. Please tell me it's a dog to ride (even though I know it's completely the opposite).

No better than your Superlite - that makes me feel a bit better. The old Repco Superlite's were pretty good frames though; they were great value for money.

Yeah, and if we keep it up in this forum, they'll be more expensive that Colnagos soon.

Nice bikes, though there's something not quite right about straight forks. But that's just me. At least all the top tubes are horizontal.
