I wonder if the Colnago you have shown with the Tange tubing was from around 1990 and the tubing was based on Tange Prestige?
Here's a Colnago Super Frame from around the late 80's to early 90's that I am thinking of re-building with old '85 Campy Super Record and Coblato brakes:

This is how I bought it. Still deciding what components to go with. I won't be repainting, love the patina.

Thanks Gary, I too prefer the understated look. Some Colnago paint scemes are a bit over the top for me. I could ride this bike all day. Just need to swap out the prologo saddle. Cripples me after about 40k.GaryF wrote:Looks like your baby blue Colnago Sprint has been, and probably continues to be a favourite ride Lots of Steel Bikes. My personal opinion is that Colnago produces frames that fit the average person well and offer a very neutral riding position - aggressive and shore footed when you want it to be yet comfortable enough for those long training rides. There is something about a baby blue coloured frame that I find really attractive - nice bike.

Despite the mixed parts, this is a nice looking bike. I think simply swapping the seat post for a polished one would make a big difference.Lots of steel bikes wrote:

I'd like polished aero but hard to get at that length.funnybike wrote:Lots of steel bikes wrote:

What a beauty! A Titanio like yours is extremely high on my want and desire list. I'm so jealous. Please tell me it's a dog to ride (even though I know it's completely the opposite).munga wrote:here's my old titanio

No better than your Superlite - that makes me feel a bit better. The old Repco Superlite's were pretty good frames though; they were great value for money.munga wrote:mine was a bit too big, Gary, and before i could get used to it, I needed the money and sold it.

Yeah, and if we keep it up in this forum, they'll be more expensive that Colnagos soon.GaryF wrote:No better than your Superlite - that makes me feel a bit better.
