Yes, the dropouts have been checked and it's all good - I did need to prise them open slightly which is what cracked the paint and chrome.

In the meantime it has been ridden super hard in the Canberra Road Racing and Criterium Series. So far the results sheet looks good with a D-Grade win in the Australian Defence Force Road Racing Championships, a couple of Crit firsts (snagged another tonight which paid $50!), and many Crit 2nd places.

A simply magnificent bicycle that at 7.9kg in race trim, is every bit as agile and quick as anything else in D-Grade!

Well done on your fine race record riding your Colnago International - Just goes to show that you can't keep a good bike down (although you might be a big part of the winning formula). It's a very nice bike and I do recall the original post.

Just gotta decide whether to do a resto on e frame or keep it OG like I always do....

my master x light came with the same fork and wheelset

That's interesting Munga. Is that a standard fork for the Master X Light? I'm very happy with my 'FORCE" fork as it seems to dampen the minor road surface bumps out. I'd like to swap it for a 'STAR' fork but they are quite expensive when i've seen them on ebay.

no idea if it was originally specified with the force fork, but that's how i bought it.
i have bought a precisa fork for it, for aesthetics mainly.

It's good to have a choice.

I'd love to read your comparison of forks using the same frame. That would be very interesting information.
