Expecting this later in the week....
I
think its a 1993/1994 Super Piu - Precisa fork, internal under/over brake routing, chrome head lugs, chromed driveside chainstay, club pantographed seatstays and enough decals to be 90s but not enough EPO-fuelled fluoro colours to be late 90's. Race number hanger is intriguing. Seller states frame weight at 2220g, which for a 56 square says SL to me - thoughts?
A bit of work to do on the fork and lug chrome, but relatively tidy and a good price in a pretty depressed market. Stay tuned.

Interesting you say that, because I have been thinking about how to add some colour to it, eg. bar tape and cable outers or something like that.
Actually I was looking for a red one (like yours!) but this one just 'popped up'.

Nice! Is the tubing tange? From what I understand, the 94's were tange, whereas the 93's were colombus SL. I bought a 94 in tange a couple of weeks ago. It rides very nicely. Quite snappy.

Yeah, thanks guys. AJ, frame is very tidy. Fork (precisa) less so but still good. Paint in great condition, a chip here and there but that's how it goes.
Mr TDC - re: steel, that's one of the interesting things - its unstickered. Paint looks original though (as if I can tell though o_O ). Has the super/super piu identifiers like chromed head lugs and drive side chain stay, under/over internal brake cable routing, etc. It also has a race number hanger just aft of the brake cable entry.
Weight is 2230g, which in a 56 square frame says SL to me. Again, have nothing to confirm this, though.
More pics in coming days. Wazza is convinced I'm building it as we speak.
Alan, its getting a 10 speed centaur semi carbon group, with rear wheel made up by velo13 - open sup to formula hub - and I built up an open 4 to 5700 hub the other week for the front.
Itm superitalias, san marco concor. Nothing über flash, but it'll be tough.

looks great...some gumwall tyres like veloflex master 23 or vittoria corsa SC would really set it off.

Yes, white tape en route, and some veloflexes are on the long term list - had some maxxis gumwalls I shifted with another bike which I now wish I'd kept.

So my contribution certainly isn't as nice as others.
I had a master that was immaculate that I sold to a mate which is soon to be built up but it was just too small for me.
Move forward 3 years and I found this bike at a supermarket in Geelong . Some fellow was just using it as a town bike. Anyway I gave him my number if he ever wanted to sell it. It was prett rough and still is .
3 months later I got a call asking if I was still interested . And I was. Bike arrived a month or so later, with a turbo saddle, look delta and a rear wheel build and some vintage colnago tape added its now on the road.
So it is a master piu
Looks like chorus 8 speed syncro chorus .

Nice Dan.
By the way. What size seatpost did it take? It might help identify the tubing. As suggested before, I am guessing by the lack of Columbus decals it is Tange tubing.

27.2 Scott. Could be anything. In any case, it seems pretty snappy, but I only gave it about 8 km today. Will give it a run into work tomorrow & report back. On the scout for a mini cowbell for the unexplained race number hanger.
