It looks boring, but it rides nicely.

Looks great Dan, I would describe it as an understated classic as opposed to boring.

Nicely done. Better to have that stem there than in my cupboard!
Minor point: isn't that the minimum insert mark on the Campag post that we can see?

It went okay
Chain is a touch short - couldn't grab low gear from the big ring, but otherwise sound. Monoplanars did a good job of slowing the 70km/h odd gateway descent.

for all the kids playing at home, learn from dan's mistakes.
poor dan thought he'd just give it a quick paintjob and build it up to sell.
now he can't shut up about it, and is moving furniture around so he can fit it in the house.
bikes are addictive. you can't stop at just one. get out now!

It only becomes a problem when you have too many bikes.
How many is too many???
Let me see, 'n' is the number of bikes you currently have, 'n'+1 is a nice amount to have, 'n'+2 is too(2) many bikes.
Ok kiddies, back to whatever you were doing.

What Munga said. I started with buying a bike for commuting, and now have a small collection. Nothing super special, but some less commonly seen makers.
Thankfully I didn't have the cash to pickup Jase's moser or dubbie's nago.
Don't drink and bid, kids.
