Coloured tyresSo I replaced the DP18s on the Moser with 1996 Atlanta wheels. I think it looks better with red tyres. What are others thoughts on matching tyre colour with the frame and/or components?

Re: Coloured tyresI am from a the camp of , Black tyres, black saddle, and non coloured chains, so I think you bike is like a barbers pole
Bar tape is the only thing I display any flair with on my bikes. It's a nice frame though. Is that an ally fork? Is it original?
Re: Coloured tyres
Unfortunately non original aluminium fork. Should have a pantographed 51.151 chrome fork. Commemorating Moser breaking the one hour record in 1984 covering 51.151 kilometers.
Re: Coloured tyresI've experimented with coloured tyres and bar tape

Re: Coloured tyresI'd say work with analogous colours for colour-matching. I'm with Dave on black tape/saddle, etc. but if something available sits within the analogous colour selection, I could be convinced to alter it. For example, the Europa is teal, but getting dark grey tape and cables - keeping black as a fallback/baseline, options for tyres are then a matching grey (well, within a few shades), white, grey/blue etc. Decals are usually a good spot to start, too. Which colours are used there? Does it work?
Visual example - use hex code 709BB7. That's my preference, though - some prefer triads or even split-complementaries. I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.
Re: Coloured tyres
let me translate for all the non-nerds playing at home: dan likes black tyres, but sometimes he thinks it's ok to get a little bit colourful. internet experts: ruining bikes since '10 | http://www.redbubble.com/people/munga

Re: Coloured tyresI'd stick with black but if you really like red, get it on there...with the white frame, and silver rims, I shouldn't be too overbearing i reackon.
