Info on Guyatt cycling history?

Can anyone PLEASE provide me with information on the Guyatt cycling history? I stumbled across a post on here from 2010 about this, but im making this to find more recent info & answered questions! Thank you, Pauline Guyatt.

Billy Guyatt was a top Victorian cyclist in the 1930s, 40s & 50s. Although better known as a track rider - he surprised the pundits when he turned to road races and won the 1954 Warrnambool - described as the "World's richest handicap". His win was described by Bill Long in The Australian Cyclist (Nov 1954).

He gave his opposition both a lesson in tactics and speed over the 163 miles of headwinds and proved beyond doubt that a good track rider can ride the road if he trains hard enough."

I have a few of these magazines from that period and many mention Guyatt's performances, especially at the North Essendon board track (which was replaced by the Olympic Velodrome after the 1956 Games). I'll try to get some more details for you.

I Only have a few ACs from the 1947 - 54 period and there is not a great deal of info about his racing in them, except the 1954 Warrnambool. But there are several adverts for bikes, and other equipment, used by him. In 1947 he was riding a Speedwell but later he was on a Master Sports (built by Motor Spares who were later taken over by Repco).

However, if you google "Billy Guyatt Cyclist" there are a number of links available. Also, Theo van Kalleneen's book (self published in 2002 ISBN 0646382659) Australs and Legends- A Century of Track Cycling has several interesting segments on Billy. I note that one of the sponsors of that book was John Guyatt who, I think, may be Billy's son.

Billy Guyatt set up a coaching business in 1951 and one of his successes was the Ian Browne and Tony Marchant combination on the tandem to win Gold at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.
