Re: I've called 000Where do you store the water?
Re: I've called 000It's fine. I've sent an email.
There are four phases of bicycle commuting; first there's fear, then rage, then self-righteousness and finally, fun.

Re: I've called 000Bushfire remote access vehicle.

Re: I've called 000
there must be another cyclist who carries the water ? Recent Favorite rides:
December -TUMBULGUM to TOMEWIN by some obscure route-can't wait to do it again !!!
Re: I've called 000
It's actually in all the tubes. So obvious! Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: I've called 000
I was thinking the water was stored in the rider (he gulps down litres prior to heading off to the fire and by the time he's there, hey presto constant 'water') - recycling is very eco-cool.
Re: I've called 000Still operational in N.Z.
Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: I've called 000
Is that a spray nozzle just in front of the handlebar? Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: I've called 000That's hilarious... I love the little air-siren obscuring the fork crown in both pics. I think that will out do all you proud Air-Zound owners; just have a siren blaring as you go along, no need for irritating occasional button pressing.

All manner of half finished projects and a bit of randonneuring I used to be tech-savvy. Now I'm just tech-weary.
Re: I've called 000
Oil lamp. Merida 903 from the LBS-nothing fancy... but you haven't seen me ride (nothing fancy)

Fire! Exclamation mark! When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments- Elizabeth West.
Re: I've called 000Im guessing the hose connects to the good ol fire hydrants

Re: I've called 000
Looks to be a nozzle to the left (as ridden) of the lamp. That's a pretty cool first response vehicle. ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: I've called 000It wouldn't get stuck in traffic, well unless it stopped for red lights, oh hang on cyclists never, ever stop for red lights, just ask a C*nt affair.
Re: I've called 000
Termed "the branch" and that a yes, very small nozzle, near left hand, sogood. Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: I've called 000This could be just the thing for forum member LG. Last heard of fighting the fires down in southern Tassie (and well done to you LG).
Re: I've called 000Brilliant bike and wish I had one in my office ready for use! Most of my work with fires is out in the bush and these bikes would be of very limited value unfortunately. Looks like it's well laid out with ready access to role the hose out, branch ready to install and most importantly helmet within easy reach!
Off topic, but my thoughts are with the families of the 2 Victorian firefighters who were killed yesterday. LG = Low Gear
Re: I've called 000
yes, me too, very brave people, so young, I feel for the families. You all have my admiration and thanks, and that goes for the S.E.S. too. I couldn't get the brakes on my bike to work so I got a really loud horn, crisis over!
Re: I've called 000Is that siren on the fork crown driven from the front wheel? - I NEED one of those!
1.370" x 24 tpi - what sort of stupid standard is that?
Re: I've called 000Sturmey archer, your right on (lever operated), here's a better view of the equipment.
Fire issue trouser clip Lone Rider- I rode on the long, dark road... before I danced under the lights.
Re: I've called 000Ahhh, I see that rider has encountered Shaaaayne or Mervyn and equipped his bike suitably.
