Help required on ornately lugged frame please?

Postby redcloud1866 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 6:06 pm

Hi all, thanks in advance for any help but about a year ago I bought this ornately lugged piece off EvilBay for about $80 big ones and I've started to strip it back and wouldn't mind if I can get some info on this old steed. She has the following:

* oil port
* track bike drop outs
* no braze ons
* came with: five dura ace frewheel, nice sugino? crankset, GB stem, weinman vainquer 999 brakes, no deraileur,

The perplexing thing for me is that I can't find any marks of any consequence on the frame. THe only mark is a small number 2 on the bottom bracket and what looks to be a large x on the chain stay. I don't think the bike is of too much value but I still wouldn't mind some info on it. I quite like so I'll still strip it back and respray it at the very least. Any info is appreciated...thanks again.
