Help Identifying 80/90's mystery Track Frame

Postby Kjf.88 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 3:53 pm

Hi All,

Looking for any information you may be able to provide on my new project frame. I don't expect it to be anything really special as it was donated to the Club as a juniors bike and it has a serial number, I would just really like to know what I am working on and how true to original I should keep it.

I have just picked up the frame in the past few weeks from the guy that organizes all the juniors in the Parramatta Club. I always assumed that this was a Jim Bundy frame, until yesterday, when I got the frame Soda Blasted and Re-Sprayed. Unfortunately I didnt get to see the frame as bare metal, because now I can see a very feint Serial Number under the bottom bracket, and according to Pete Bundy, none of their frames ever received serial numbers.

Details:
* SunTour 10mm Dropouts
* 120mm Rear Wheel Spacing
* 110mm Front Wheel Spacing
* Seat Post Tube is either 27.0mm or 27.2mm
* NJS & Tange logos on the Steerer Tube
* Serial Number running across the width of the Bottom Bracket
* Serial Number: 9008 00672
* No drillings for Brake Holes
* It had a real solid Japanese Headset on it, can't remember brand - will update. No other components came with it.

I'm guessing Serial Number indicates an August 1990 build, which would match up with the awesome original fluro yellow paint job that can be seen in some of the pics.

I apologize for the quality of the photos, I will upload some more when I get a chance.
