Auction opportunities...

Postby freshpatents » Fri May 03, 2013 8:28 pm

Hi,
There are some very nice bikes up for auction in Adelaide on Monday, 6th May. Carbine, Healing, Super Elliott, Colnago etc.
The prices might be out of my league but thought I'd bring it the attention of others who might be able to afford it (and get my finders fee :D )
http://www.scammellauctions.com.au/cata ... e9deb480b0
and search the catalogue

I thought so too but the intriguing thing is that the bikes are a huge variety of sizes so possibly not bought to ride...

What an awesome catalogue, some great stuff...
Oh yes, to save going thru a million pages, the bikes go from lot 1001 to 1024. Plus some scattered on the 2nd page from memory...
Love the 5 star track oppy... 8)
When in doubt......mumble.

Hmm I would be interested to see what they actually sell for. There is some nice stuff there but some of the 'estimates' seem way over the top, nothing old is under $1000.00 and many of them don't have original parts.

Hmm I think these bikes were part of a collection that frank kovacs had on his website some years ago featuring some amazing Australian racing bikes, anyone recall the site ?
If you are still about frank ? Cheerio!

Hi,
Yes I remember the web site, http://collectiblecycles.com I recall but it has been "down" for about 4 years now. If anyone happens to know what happened to the Hetchins he had on that site I'd appreciate hearing from them.
