How's the Shimergo going for you xerlex?

Brief derail from the MAP:
I'm no erle, but I have two shimergo setups that I can comment on:

1) 11sp chorus levers, Ritchey Logic compact cranks with 32/46 rings, campy CT front mech (8sp XT front previously), 11-32 9 speed cassette, 9sp medium cage XT shadow+jagwire rocket adjuster rear mech (8sp XT medium rear previously).

2) 11sp chorus levers with athena guts (i.e. powershift, so less trim up front and no cassette dump), R700 cranks with 32/48 9/10 stronglight rings, 6600 front mech, 5700 short cage rear mech, hubbub cable routing, 12-28 10sp cassette.

1) actually shifted better with the front XT mech and had less outer cage / crankarm interference, but with the extra trim it's not a big deal. rear shifts are flawless. Have a few thousand kms on this setup. Will bend the outer cage a bit soon.

2) front limits are set so there's no trim required at all in the big ring, where it lives 90% of the time, rear shifts are also flawless, better than 6600 shifters were in fact. Have a few hundred kms on this setup.

It's pretty good, Peter. Blakey covered it all haha. He's my go to for Shimergo advice

I also had a geek-out over this at Commuter, absolutely gorgeous. The cranks are awesome, but wait till you see that hub Humber...

All I've seen from this distance is one teaser pic and a list of specs....... *yawn*

Sorry, I've been too busy riding it! I'm gonna get some good photos taken, I've just got to line it up with a friend who's gonna take the shots.

The cranks were a birthday present, I couldn't tell you the shipping.

The long version of why I chose MAP starts with me getting hit riding to work about 18 months ago.

I found a very nice TI cross bike on ebay (to replace my Voodoo Wazoo) and was in love with it, definitely gonna buy... when the insurance company payed up. By the time I got the money the cross bike was long gone but a Cherubim 650B frame came up for cheap and I grabbed that, which then arrived with the non driveside half of the rear triangle squashed in 18mm because the seller didn't pack the frame properly (just wrapped some bubble wrap around it and threw it in a box). So now I was back on the hunt for a 650B frame. I looked at a few options, BDB Pelican, a Boulder, Rawland, but ever time I was a bike I liked the look of (like totally nailed it) it was either a Weigle or a MAP. I signed up for the Rando Project mailing list and played the waiting game. Funnily enough, I think the most exciting part was getting the email saying that orders were open for the next round, the actual placing of the order
