Bike in antique shop

Postby Lots of steel bikes » Sat Nov 02, 2013 7:45 pm

This bike is at the back of an antique shop in Miami, Gold Coast. I assume it's a posties bike.

I'd say you were right. What $ they want for it? I'd like it just for the seat.

I think it was $650. Had the remnants of goldish decal letters on the top of the downtube. Second letter possibly an 'A'. No head tube badge but looks like it used to have an oval shaped decal. Pashley?

Certainly looks like a Healing from a quick google search.

wont be pashley, will be Australian or supplied by an Australian Company (later Asian ones are similar to the badge engineered Malvern Star or Speedwell), could be anything maker wise . Makers names are not found as they are supplied all red (with gold PMG decals). Bars are upside down and back to front, $650 is crazy money 50 - 150 :)

Good one Torana68. Decal must have looked like this

I have one the same as that, seen a few of those with a crack in the lower head lug/bottom tube area.

Yes.

Besides until recently it was illegal to have mudguards without the white bit in WA. Previous versions of the law in other states might have proscribed the same.

Cheers,
