Hi all, Trying to date this Repco Cambridge found in a garage pit. My Guess is 1960,s. Came with Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub and full mudguards.
Cheers Chris.Image

Sorry image did not run. Its definitely not 80,s. Codder pin cranks and decals way earlier.

i don't know much about ladies' bicycles, but those decals are way later than i expected. more like late 90's early 00's.
see if the Sturmey Archer AWC (looks like a coaster hub to me) hub has a two-digit date code on it.

The brand spankers Repco Traveller I received for my 12th birthday in '86 had cotter pins, and an earlier style of livery than this. Cheap bikes still had cotter pins in the 80s. Think Dept Store BSOs.

Assuming it's original, it'd surprise me if it was a SA. I would've thought this era of Repco would've had a Shimano 3sp IGH coaster.

Sturmey Archer hub has been removed for another project. It has 88-5 stamped in it. Still not convinced its 80,s. Most other 70,s Cambridges I've seen on E-Bay and Gumtree have more blocked type lettering and alloy cranks. The bike also has 6066 stamped under the serial #. If the date on the hub is correct I guess your correct.

Just checked through the catalogues posted and found it in the 88-89 catalogue. Thanks all for your help. Better change my Gumtree add now.

The OP has deleted his hosted images, but some cached versions come up if you Google search them properly;

Crappy, dithered & enlarged version at this link from the '85/86 Catalog. It bears the same style livery & font as my 86 Traveller had back in the day.

FWIW; the full thread was here
