Thought a thread might be handy to provide advice on where to purchase replacement retro/vintage bike parts.
As a start, I'm wondering if anybody could give me a clue where to purchase spoke nipples in 20mm - 25mm length for a set of wooden wheels? Much appreciated.

Have been thinking the same. Anyone know where to get a 1" campag record crown race? Euro Asia imports list them but I don't feel a crown race justifies creating an account.

Well the thread hasn't taken off too much yet
, but after much searching I have managed to locate a US ebay seller with long nipples http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291221588763 ... 1423.l2649, still hoping somebody has another lead with slightly cheaper postage though.
Imwit, are you looking for nuovo record or something later for the crown race?

yeah, i had been thinking of your 1" nipple problem. I remember seeing them on a US website a few years back but I don't think they were cheaper than your ebay ones. Have you tried LBS? or vintage cycle club? I was fortunate my wooden rims came with the nipples and washers. Wood rims are very interesting to build up as they are so flexible.(relatively)
edit: the website was here but I don't see longer than 16mm nipples now.

Later. The 95 onwards type that is fairly easily available.
I've found a fair few more options but all are $35 and upwards for a crown race!?! And I haven't looked at the postage yet.
Might as well get another whole headset at those prices.
Any other options? I tried an el cheapo one but it doesn't fit the bearings.
