Vintage campione sportivo

Postby campionesportivo » Sat Aug 23, 2014 2:58 pm

Hi all looking for info on my campione sportivo. Like years made history the likes.
It has a leather bell seat. Single speed. With only rear pedal brake I'd like to link a picture but am unsure how too.
Thanks clayton.

I actually have a Campione Sportivo in the shed that i found on a scrap metal pile a month or so back, but it's an early 80s 10 speed junker very similar to this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/glendowieb ... 588828014/ .

There's a Campione Cycles bike shop in Geelong but they only started in 1988.

Without seeing a photo and going off "coaster brake and bell seat", i'd guess about $40-50 depending on condition. Maybe a bit more if it's in good shape.

it may well be another make, with aftermarket stickers from a later renovation.
You would need to look for other frame details and add some photos.

Yep Speedwell. clydesdale scot was on the money with the campione stickers being a ring in from much later. i know little about speedwells but from the general style i reckon 50s or 60s, roadsters didn't change much in that time.
