Yes, + 1 on this. Dented is possibly fatal, Slightly oval is just a challenge to the wheel builder (within reason of course ) But seriously, if you can't eyeball it, then it is fixable. I have pulled Dunlop Steel racing rims back into true from slightly oval many times. If you want to get seriously anal about it there are people who can re-align out of true motorcycle steel rims to truth (round and alignment) I have had this done for a Ducati in Newcastle NSW, I'm sure Perth has the facilities. Bet they can do steel bicycle rims.
