Frame ID?

Hey, picked up this frame for a song from a guy in Adelaide clearly not into cycling. Saw the Columbus pantos on the fork crown and knew it was something half decent. Might have been pranged but it's just going to be a townie for my better half so it won't be soaking up too many watts.

It's been painted in 80s hi-vis fluro colours. I rubbed a bit back on the head tube and down tube to look for decals or old paint but I think it has been rubbed back to bare metal before the respray or it was originally orange/yellow fade.

Although the BB serial number looks like 4027 in the photo, I read it in real life as 1027. That would match the number on the steerer tube of the forks.

Ken Evans? Surprised if forks and frame aren't married. Be very careful of frame with that much creasing.

Thanks Bog, I have a Kenevans and would be thrilled if I'd found another one. No K pantos anywhere (although an old Kenevans I had previously had none either).
The creasing looks a lot worse in the photos as the purple paint was a really shocking job and flaked off at any kind of joint under a blow from the compressed air gun.
The frame is good and straight, I've ridden much worse damaged frames for years until they finally gave out, no lumps or ripples in any of the tubes and the head tube and seat tube are bang-on straight. I'm a metal fabricator and tube bender by trade and I'm pretty confident in its integrity and like I said, it's just going to be a townie for Sarah and she certainly won't be putting it under much stress.
Just looking to confirm the maker.

Yep, 1027 matching numbers.

Open tube ends on the fork ends and dropouts were apparently a bit of a Ken thing to do. Mine has this. Might be, might not be. If you emailed Ken he might be able to tell you? Unfortunately he didn't have a record of mine. Mine is a Ken as it has the KENEVANS dropouts/fork ends and the square-type K panto on the fork crown.

I thought Bundy when I first saw it, but that wasn't based on much - the open tubes and mismatch of track ends/fork tips were probably the only hints. Has the front derailleur hanger been ground off? Ken did plenty of frames without front derailleur hangers - believe he liked the adjustment capabilities of clamp-on FD's. Ken told me it was only very early frames that didn't have any K panto's, make of that what you will. My friend's Ken only has a small K on the rear brake bridge.

It actually measures 55sq, I had previously measured it with all the components on and got it wrong.
I've emailed Ken, but based on previous experience it'll be a while before I hear from him.
I wouldn't class 1027 as an early frame.

Where abouts is all the creasing. With the amount of cracking and peeling paint I'm not really seeing it from the photos.

There's not any really. Just the purple paint cracking. Had the frame checked today and it's fine. No bulges or wrinkles on any tubes.

That's good to know. I didn't think I could see anything, but I thought others might have had a better eye for it than me.

No idea sorry, but it looks likes really nice. I think it will clean up quite nicely.

BTW. Just wondering what the frame and forks weigh.

Update:
It did have a FD hangar, but someone has cut it off previously. It has what appears to be a small J punched to the right of the serial number, markers mark maybe? The serial is 4027 I think. So the frame and forks do not match, which is a shame.
Haven't weighed it yet. Stripping and priming today.
