Have been away for some time, am excited about the recent posts going on though (amazing stuff GaryF)!
I've got a technical question about the sizing of the internal binder bolt for the Shimano 600 AX Quill Aero Stem. I've never pulled one apart before, and there's one fitted to a new (old) bicycle in my collection. Can any forum members confirm it's a 6mm Allen Key thanks?
On VeloBase is says 6mm, however before I go sourcing and spending money on the correct tool I'd like to see if it's actually the case. Cheers for any assistance!

Yeah 6mm. Make sure it's a long one.

I checked mine out too - as PIN20 says, it's a 6mm Allen Key.
How's Anakie? I used to live close by in Lovely Banks and catch the Anakie bus to School.

As above, but if you don't have allen keys you're probably better off going to bunnings/supercheap auto etc and buying a set rather than just a 6mm

Thanks LG, I'll check out Bunnings/Supercheap in Geelong, and maybe a specialist tool-shop or two.
@GaryF - Anakie is still the very quiet country village it's always been. Nothing much happens. Probably the way the locals like it!

I don't know anything about that bolt, but I know that you can get a "good enough" set of T-handled allen keys (hex wrenches) from Bunnings, Supacheap or a tool shop for about $30 upwards.
They make life much easier. I even use them on IKEA furniture instead of the little toy ones they supply
