Speedwell Flash

[The Badger]

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me date a Speedwell Flash that I bought the other day there? Unfortunately the bike has no original parts to help date it so all I have to go on is the frame number which is A94608. The only other thing that might help is the head badge which is the "S" over a circle. The guy who sold it to me reckons it's a sixties frame, and from my trawling of the net I reckon it's late 50's or early 60's, but it would be nice to lock in a year...

IIRC no-one has been able to identify a system for frame numbers that helps identify dates.

Pics are always good as little details can sometimes point one way or another. If it has a chrome metal badge that points to mid 50s to mid 60s.
