Shoes- period

I don't recall seeing a thread on old school shoes.
And I seem to have a small collection. Hopefully there are others who won't make me look like a silly git.
My latest is a pair of 'pizza' shoes.
They were in poor condition; soles barely attached, leather uppers stiff, scuffed and rather dilapidated. They were given when I was picking up another pair of shoes.

soles reglued, leather deglazed then painted up, and with new red waxed cotton laces, they are good to use. But only with the Gios Torino.

Other shoes are used with the other bikes.

Heh, when I read the first line, I read it as old school shoes and thought 'this is a weird thread', but then I saw the pics.

It isn't mould growing on the inside, just some sock piling. I will clean them up, deglaze the leather and apply the white leather paint, then seal.
Both pairs are the right size for me, a 45.

Last pair I had were not fashionably Italian. Instead they came from a little known US company - Specialized.

It is always good to see the under side of bike shoes to see the type of cleats or blocks being used.

Also the approximate era of the shoes. As this is a good thread and with a bit luck we might see some really old style shoes form years past.

I bought a pair of Dromarti Sportivos to wear on my Montello when they were on sale late last year. Not actually period shoes but they are old school and Italian leather.
