WTB - Trainer

Postby snedden9485 » Fri Dec 12, 2008 2:22 pm

Im after a cheap trainer. A mag trainer will suit my budget i think. Im located in newcastle, but if postage can be organised, that may be the go. I really dont want to spend much more than $100. If anyone has something, let me know.

thanks

Does it have adjustable tension? What dont you like about it? Id imagine it would weigh alot, so postage would be severe

Adjustable tension meaning the cable with the ten settings lever yes,it just annoys me sitting in the one spot, much prefer to be out on the road, adelaide weather generally allows for all year riding,so no real need for it was an impulse buy when i first started cycling, and now have a little person on the way space in my flat is at a premium, postage would be the killer,it does have bit of weight to it.

What was it worth? Did you buy it new? I have no idea what postage would be.

paid three hundred for it about two years ago, brand new,its a good work out just much happier with the wind in my face,i used it the last time about five weeks ago, work commitments kept me off the bike,so gave it about two one hour sessions, just get bored, staring at the same thing, and burnt a hole in the carpet when i first bought it (not set up right my bad)so cant use it in front of the silly box.It does get a bit noisy too need to turn the ipod up too loud, under load,my next door neighbour works for a sydney company with a base here, and i remember him mentioning a truck that does a once a week trip east,if your keen that is.will post some photos later today so you can have a look
