WTB Large frame (or bike) 25 inch/64 cm + (Melbourne)

Postby stefan534 » Mon Dec 22, 2008 8:14 pm

My 65cm pride and joy got crashed into whilst on my bike rack - it's a real bugger getting a replacement off the shelf!

Preferably aluminium or light alloy, tourer or standard road frame would be fine. :P

I have a blue alloy Avanti Monza frame that measures 64cm from centre of BB to top of seat clamp here (Melbourne) if you are interested.

Hey Munga - did you get a chance to measure up the stand-over height yet? And is that frame 700C?

That's one behemoth. I'll go measure up.... :P

I take it the frame's olde-fashioned steel?

O.K. - that's nut-rubbing territory even for me. But only just...

If stefan534's not interested - PM me a price.

Nice. That sounds like a custom made frame, with that length..

How old and what condition is the frame ? Also could you grab a top bar measurement please

I am not sure how old it is. The frame is in resonable condition with a few scratches and the decal on one side is slightly damaged. There is a little surface corrosion...nothing terminal, with the worst of it where the bottle cage attaches.

The top tube is 57cm and the down tube is 64cm

EDIT: s/n is T9607 3359...so at a guess it was made July 1996

Thanks for going to the effort was after soemthing a bit more modern I guess I actually tried a 60 cm frame today and it seemed fine - had the same head room as my 65 cm frame.
