I picked up a couple of Indi 500's today. Unfortunately my GF doesn't like the girls bike I got her so I will be returning it to swap for a mens bike.

She wants a fixie too. pfft

Hi George,

I'm trying to do some restoration, conversion I have an old 3 speed hub and want to build my first wheel from my daughters 16" bike. I need to source a 36 spoke rim and some spokes to do the job. Where's the best place to get obscure parts in Perth?

I'd really be interested in the 22 inch 3 speed your have in your list

Cheers

Nick

Nick, if you've got a 28H rim I have some 28H Sturmey AWs - happy to swap (all my rims are 36H 700C)

Sounds good. I will check the hub. I'm new to all this bike building. It is a sun-tour hub and has some light surface rust. I will take a picture and post it

It's probably a rebadged Sturmey Archer AW as this is known to have happened. A quick comparision (visually and by weight) will let you know. - Check out Sheldon Brown's site - starting at http://www.sheldonbrown.com/sturmey-archer.html for hubs, wheel building and more.
