Re: WTB - Perth - Single Speed or Fixie Road BikeHoping the crest of the wave/fad has passed for a bargain?
if you give an indication of budget - circling sharks might know better not to bite! Kym
All manner of half finished projects and a bit of randonneuring I used to be tech-savvy. Now I'm just tech-weary.
Re: WTB - Perth - Single Speed or Fixie Road Bikefair enuff
Budget is upto $400. Looking for something to get me around the suburb and to follow my kids on their bikes.

Re: WTB - Perth - Single Speed or Fixie Road BikeA few options:
Ideal Cycles had a new single speed within your budget last time I was there. (it was a few weeks ago and it was only one). Or visit and be tempted by the Masi and Charge ones outside your budget. Be patient, fixies/single speeds turn up on eBay, Gumtree and Quokka in Perth every week or two. Somebody was trying to sell a pair of AL framed ones on Gumtree for over a month, a few weeks back. Buy a cheap steel frame roadie from Quokka or similar source and then make an appointment to see George one weekend afternoon, to get your chain line right and the rear wheel undished (if there is such a word). Find the nearest hard rubbish collection and go get two or three bikes and build your own out the parts. my blog Nick Cowie, member of Peel District Cycling Club
