somewhere there's a vast repository of these things (probably in the Utah desert on a secret US Air Force base). There also exists an equally massive collection of pedal dust caps...

Are you sure they are the right duscaps?

The last Campagnolo "Colnago" cranks were Nuovo Record, so they should have a duscap that says "Brev Campagnolo" on them.
