WTB: Sydney - 700c rear wheel 7spd

Hi guys,

Have screwed up my rear wheel (seriously buckled beyond repair) so does anyone out there have a good 7 speed rear wheel (with or without cassette). Currently using Araya but not bothered by model as long as its relatively in good nick and straight. Anyone throwing one away

Have you thought of just getting a new rim? My 7spd rear wheel cracked earlier this year. I re-used the hub and built it (for the 1st time). Took it to the LBS for truing and check up. You can get everything done there though, should cost you about $150 I think, including all the parts.

Haven't thought of that but $150 seems steep for an old clunker. Didn't want to spend that much considering I may turn it into a single speed down the track.
Thinking more like 30 bucks or bit more. Wazza from QLD has a couple but he says its pickup only

Munga has just passed on the Araya rear so its yours if you want it. I have no idea regarding postage costs though. Do you know the best way to wrap/box for posting? Anyone?

take the axle out, cut a lcd tv box up and make two discs, tape axle to inside of one disc and tape the discs together.

Odds on you can squeeze a 9 speed in, if you can't find a 7 speed.

Sure, although it sounds like alot of trouble but I will leave that up to you to decide. Either way can you pm me what you think and possible total cost - If it works out too much for posting then I may have to be patient and look locally.
