WTB : Road Bike (Adelaide)

Hello

First let me introduce myself.

Im a 25 year old health and physical education teacher who has recently injured his knee (footy). Ive been advised my my physio to get into cycling to strengthen the knee.

Im looking for a road bike good nick. IM not after anything too flash but would like to join a club and compete in criteriums etc
heres what im looking for

Im 5 10 so looking for something 52 ish to 54 ish
Prefer atleast 105 components but wil consider tiagra or lower depending on price
Prefer carbon forks and seat stays etc

Im budgeting at somewhere around $1000 ive seen some good pickups at around this price for second hand

ANY help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Actively looking at all options myself at present with a limit of $1200.
seems that sora is the most common in this price range.
105 for the bucks you are spending would probably need to go used.

yeah im looking to go used, i think theres more value in used if you are on a tight budget....if you know what your looking for there shouldnt be an issue.

Ive seen 105 and the occasional ultegra group for around $1000-$1200

52 is too small for you unless you have weird proportions. I'm 180cm - a bit shorter than you and ride 56cm BMC. Not sloping/compact.

errrr 180cm is just over 5 10 so im shorter than you ....im actually around 176 cm so just under 5 10 . I was told around 52/54 but if anyone can confirm i need a larger bike it would be great.
