WTB/trade -zero length stem

Looking for one of those stems, popular on d/h rigs a while back. they just sat on top/over your steerer with a top cap with 4 bolts to secure 'bars. billet alloy, not fussed on colour.

I think I may have what you are looking for...if I correctly understand what you described. Not sure if it's alloy though. I will have a look for it tomorrow and if you want it and are happy to pay for postage...it's yours.

I found the headstem. But it's steel (21.1mm) and a little rusty (nothing a bit of steel wool or paint wont fix). If you still want it let me know.

If it's spins you want to do, I have a kids freestyle BMX here which I was about to offload to the recyclers. If you want I can pull it apart and send you the whole thing...stem (steel 21.1mm), headset, brake cables and freestyle cable thingy.

cheers mpa61 for the search. i think what you have would be a bmx stem. I have only seen the type i want with a-head fixings,not quill style. Willing to be proven wrong though! Is there any offset between where the centre of 'bars would be and quill? The sought after item has zero rise and zero reach/offset.The 'bars sit smack bang over the steerer. I think AZONIC made one and plenty of cheap copies from our northern trading partners.
PS. thanks for the offer of the freestyler but at carpark speed no need for brakes at all. maybe donate it to that bicycle recycle mob out near cranbourne perhaps? do they pick up?
