SOLD - Perth - Retro road bike. 1993 Dyna-Tech 625 Titanium

Postby andyh » Wed Sep 16, 2009 2:55 pm

1993 Dyna-Tech 625Ti in almost original condition. (Plenty of photos below)

Dyna-Tech was part of Raleigh's Special Products Division in the 80's and 90's. I bought this bike in the summer before I went to uni, and have many happy memories riding it around the hills and lanes of the UK. The main frame is made from titanium so it's a very comfortable ride, happily absorbing road vibrations.

I've decided I can't really justify keeping it as I don't use it that often anymore, need a bit of cash for a new bike and I'm sure there is a good home for it out there! Maybe you're looking for a retro commuter or are a retro/classic enthusiast

Specs are;

Titanium 2125 main tubes
Cro-moly seat/chain stays and forks
Seat Tube 57cm C-T-T
Suntour SL components throughout with exception of Suntour GPX front mech.
Suntour SL 8-sp Rear Mech with 12-24 Cassette
42/52 Chainrings
Suntour SL brakes, brake levers and indexed downtube shifters.
Shimano A525 single-side SPD Pedals

The only thing that isn't original is the front wheel/hub which I replaced 2 years ago. Currently is Alexrims DA22 (Think it was originally a Mavic)

The bike is in great condition, I'm the original owner and have looked after this bike really well over the years. It's never been crashed, stacked or dropped.

$250 ono

Same here except I have to regard that as a plus because of overcrowding

Tempting? My hands have been hovering for days!!! - I only need a frame, I've got all the other bits!!!

Thank god it doesn't have fender/rack mounts!

At THAT price, it tempted a die-hard steel lover such as myself. (Steel is metal, Titanium is metal, Carbon = BAD!)

Temptation is a terrible thing! Luckily you need not suffer any longer. Sold this morning.

If you're on the Perth - Bunbury freeway ride this Sunday, keep your eyes peeled for Greg on his newly acquired purple steed!

Thanks for all the interest. Andy
