WTB-Brisbane Road Wheelset

Postby whitestivo » Mon Sep 21, 2009 12:12 pm

aAfter my failed attempt at fitment of the Fulcrum 5's, I'm still chasing an upgraded wheelset for a road bike, suit 60kg rider.

Must be compatable with Shimano 9 speed cassette
Ideally, you've puchased a bike and have upgraded rims and have a reasonable set at home collecting dust. Not looking more than a couple of thousand ks on the rims.

I have mavic CXP22's on currently, which just don't suit the bike. I'd like something lighter and more responsive.

Budget $250 or near abouts. PM me or post up. I'll keep my eye on for sale threads as well.

have you looked into getting a 9 speed freehub body for the Fulcrum's?

or have you already sold these on to someone else?

i went into my lbs, and getting a new hub for the fulcrum was not recommended, as the campag and shimano wasn't guaranteed to work

quoted price was $200. Otherwise the fulcrums would DEFINTELY be on the bike

I have a set of Easton Vistas which are in the same range and weigh only 37 grams more.

Furthermore they are hand built by Easton, not machine built.

Brand new from a Cervelo S1

Let me know if your interested.

As the cxp's are super strong, but heavy at 2100g plus. Looking to upgrade to rims 1750g and below.

Thank you to those that have responded to me.

I don't mind if they have small number of ks on them, so long as they are in great nic, and they suit shimano 9 speed.
