WTB - PER - old tubular road tyre (as spare)

Postby Thoglette » Wed Sep 30, 2009 12:28 pm

I've got a set of singles mounted on some wheels which I'd like to use for a while. But I don't have a spare and Murphy's Law states that if I venture out without a spare I will get a flat.

So I'm on the scrouge for a pre-loved tubular. Tread unimportant. Brand unimportant. Only requirement is that it holds air (and prefereably has some old road glue on it). Perferrably bloody cheap!

What are you thinking cost wise because you can buy a tubular from pkb for $18 with $9 shipping, so for under $50 you can have 2 brand new ones delivered

Hi Tom, as you suggest, bloody cheap. Particularily as I hope to never, ever use it!

I'm hoping that someone's got an orphan in the back shed that they'd part with for a fiver.

When the time comes, then I'll get a new set* and the current pair will be spares. But I just didn't want to be sans-spare today.

Thog.
* and it seems that the UK is the best place to buy them!

BUMP - still looking, happy to pay postage.
Even a fixable one would do. (got to learn to sew eventually!)
